
Mail Print is a full service marketing, mailing and printing company that provides marketing, creative services, digital and offset printing, PURLs and Web-To-Print solutions for its clients. Mail Print came to Digital Evolution Group in 2004 with a need to revise their online presence and product management applications. Mail Print was utilizing three separate platforms to meet the customized printing needs for its customers, and these platforms did not seamlessly communicate and interact. While the system worked for the most part, it was inefficient and not suited for the type of future growth Mail Print required to stay at the forefront of their industry.

To better understand Mail Print’s business processes and requirements, Digital Evolution Group immersed a team in the operations of Mail Print. This allowed the team to witness the daily demands made on the system, and hear firsthand the "wish-list" from the system’s users. It was important not to just build a great technological solution for the upcoming version, but also to encompass the way that Mail Print operated, and propose ways to improve existing business and operations processeses.
Eventually a project was defined that included a product management platform, an online ordering component that provided users with an instant view of their customized card, a custom CRM module, an accounting system, and a production/shipping management application. After Digital Evolution Group thoroughly defined and documented the proposed integrated system, it then developed and implemented the application, training users and overseeing the replacement of the old system. The new application ties Mail Print’s operations, accounting and sales divisions together, offering management a comprehensive overview of the entire company and instantaneous reporting and feedback tools.
